History of the "Let's Celebrate"
Concert
The Friars Family “Let’s Celebrate”
Concert is a yearly event in support of making the community
a stronger and healthier place to live. The Saint John
Learning Exchange was honoured to be the 2009 recipient
of the “Let’s Celebrate” fundraiser.
A portion of the money raised will support the Tracy
Friars “Celebrate” Scholarship for learners
moving on to post-secondary education.
The "Let's Celebrate" Concert
Scholarship
The scholarship amount could range from $250 to a maximum
of $1000 depending on the length of the field of study.
The awarded scholarship will go directly to the post-secondary
institution. Some scholarships may be awarded in the
second or third year of study.
The applicants selected for consideration of the scholarship
will be provided with further information as they move
along the process.
Requirements
- Obtained GED
- At least 70-80% attendance rate while attending
our programs
- Entering and accepted into one of the recognized
post-secondary institutions with plans to graduate
with diploma
Application Process
Write a minimum of one (1) paragraph to a maximum of
one (1) page on either of the following:
- How do you give back to your community? OR
- Why is it important to give back through volunteering?
Please note that grammar and spelling errors will
not be taken into consideration while the applications
are being judged.
Please forward the written submission by mail, email,
or in person to The Saint John Learning Exchange by
August 30th, 2010.
Scholarship will be awarded in early fall of 2010.
