Basic Education & Skills Training (B.E.S.T)

Achieve your goals in a supportive and inspiring environment!

B.E.S.T. is our most holistic program. It is a full-time program designed to help you achieve your academic goals while also preparing you for your next steps, either post-secondary education or employment.

What makes B.E.S.T. unique is the individualized support offered by the program facilitator. In B.E.S.T. you have an opportunity to work on skills that contribute to success in work, post-secondary education, and life in general while also working towards your GED or increasing your literacy/numeracy skills.

Community engagement is a central focus for all participants, giving you the chance to explore opportunities and connect with peers and services within the community.  B.E.S.T. also offers extra training on top of GED prep including computer literacy, money management and First Aid & CPR certification.

Program Info:

  • Continuous intake
  • Work at your own pace
  • Small class size
  • 1:1 support from your facilitator
  • Class Schedule:  Tuesday - Friday 9am - 2:30pm

We recognize that academic and employment goals are often connected. For this reason, all B.E.S.T. participants have access to our WorkLinks service and our Workforce Coach.
